General Nonwovens produces
100 % polypropylene (PP) spunlaid, thermally point bonded, (
spunbond ) nonwovens in weight ranges of 12 to 150 g/m2 (
0.35 to 4.5 oz/yd2) at net width of 3.3 meters (130 inch).
Rolls can be slit to any size between 60mm to full
width (2.3 to 130 inches) with an outer roll diameter of
up to 150cm (59 inch).
With different fiber density capabilities and fabric
types available, the characteristics and performance can
be optimized to suit specific needs. The filament
fineness, dpf (denier per filament), is one of the most
important factors that effects the fabric performance
and characteristics. Depending on the fabric performance
requirements, 1 to 4 dpf filaments can be produced. The
multi-layer spunbond nonwovens can be used where extreme
consistency and uniformity is required. General
Nonwovens produces fabrics at low basis weight yet
homogenously distributed filaments. Softness and MD/CD
tensile balance is a challenge that General Nonwovens
has achieved successfully.
Additives and post surfactant treatments allow producing
multi-layer webs with specific characteristics like :
- Hydrophilic Fabrics
- UV Resistant Fabrics
- Flame Retardant Fabrics
- Antistatic Fabrics
- Antibacterial Fabrics
- Optical Brightened Fabrics
- Soft Fabrics
- Colored Fabrics
These are the most common treatment & additive
applications. Other special chemical treated nonwovens
are available upon request. |
